Big news to share!! Zillions Magazine just ran a feature on my new single, “Wall of Awful,” and my upcoming EP, Neuroemergent.

Here’s how they described it:

“Chris Lafe King brings us a poignant and striking new single, Wall of Awful. … King transmutes his most intimate bon mots into songs that bubble with openness and appeal. Wall of Awful is redemptive… juxtaposing fragility and defiance, collapse and clarity. His storytelling is strong in every line here, offering the perspective of someone who has lived under pressure and come back to music as a place of reckoning and renewal.”

That means the world to me because this project is a reckoning and a renewal. After years of carrying pressure, perfectionism, and burnout, I came back to music to tell the truth in the only way I know how: with songs that feel like journal entries set to rhythm.

“Wall of Awful” is about the invisible barriers ADHD and burnout can create and the reframing that helps us move through them. It’s part fragile, part defiant, a confession and an anthem all in one.

The full EP, Neuroemergent, arrives October 10 for ADHD Awareness Month, but you can subscribe here for early access: https://chrislafeking.com/#/portal/signup

Thank you for walking with me through the wall of this EP launch! 🚀

With gratitude,
CLK

A Map of Maybe

A Map of Maybe

Map of Maybe launches a narrative shanty project about growth, uncertainty, and identity. Set at sea, it invites you to see your own journey reflected in a crew searching without a map. The full 7-song EP will stream everywhere on April 3rd.

By The Sea

By The Sea

When my mind runs a thousand miles an hour, I go to the sea. 🌊 This song is about finding significance in stillness.

Why not keep in touch, yeah?
