Six Songs. Six Faces. One Month.
October is ADHD Awareness Month. The theme this year is The Many Faces of ADHD so the timing feels right to share my own story in a bigger way.

October is ADHD Awareness Month. The theme this year is The Many Faces of ADHD so the timing feels right to share my own story in a bigger way.
ADHD shows up differently for each of us (in work, in relationships, in creativity, and in daily life). Sharing those faces helps reduce stigma and builds not just understanding, but also acceptance that these different ways of experiencing the world might just hold the creative keys to improving it.
This time, I am sharing my faces through music. On October 10th, I release my debut EP, Neuroemergent. Six tracks, six journal entries from my story so far:
- Wall of Awful | The Face of Invisible Barriers
- Hyperfocus | The Face of Brilliance and Burnout
- Time Blind | The Face of Vanishing Hours
- The Wonder Drug | The Face of Perfectionism and Anxiety
- Soft Machine | The Face of Gratitude and Self-Compassion
- Neuroemergent | The Face of Reframing and Renewal
Neuroemergent is part confession and part manifesto. It is the soundtrack of my journey from burnout to reinvention, from restless thoughts to resilience. For years I wore the mask of a high performer, driven by fear and anxiety, until I burned out for the last time. The twist was that my mind was not broken... it was brilliantly wild with ADHD. Three years later, music has became one of the ways I now turn my chaos into clarity.
This EP is not a step-by-step plan or self-help manual. It is a set of songs that give voice to emotions many of us hold quietly inside. It is an invitation to feel seen, to embrace imperfection, and to find new stories of strength within struggle.
And since I am an educator at heart, I love a simple acronym that drives action. Here is one way to remember how to support ADHD Awareness Month:
F A C E
F // Focus on lived experience
This year’s theme is a reminder that ADHD has many faces. Even among those of us who share the same diagnosis, ADHD can look and feel completely different. Focusing means listening without judgment and staying open to perspectives beyond your own. That is how stigma starts to break down.
A // Amplify ADHD creators and voices
I fill my feed with podcasts, posts, and music that make me feel seen. When something resonates, I share it. Amplification is not about being the loudest voice in the room (it is about turning up the volume on others so they can be heard). One share might be the bridge between someone’s struggle and their sense of belonging.
C // Connect through stories.
I tell mine, even when it is messy. I listen when someone else shares theirs. Connection is not about polishing what we say (it is about being real enough that others feel safe being real too). Every story matters. Every face matters more when it shows up honestly.
E // Engage differently.
Seek out art, forums, events you've not tried before. Look for new and interesting ways to share and listen. My way this year is through this EP. These songs carry a part of my story, and I hope they give you something to lean on, argue with, cry to, or share. Engagement is how awareness becomes movement.

ADHD Awareness Month is about showing many faces.
These are mine. Will you FACE them with me?
